How My Journey Began
Nautical Roots Travel grew out of a lifelong curiosity about people—their stories, traditions, and the places they call home. That curiosity began when I was a teenager and spent a summer in Puebla, Mexico, and took root while earning my degree in Anthropology at the University of Houston, where I learned how culture influences everything from language and food to art, landscape, and everyday life.
Today, based in Central Texas, I bring that lifelong curiosity and anthropological insight to every trip I design. At Nautical Roots Travel, I specialize in crafting vacations that go beyond the typical tourist experience—immersive journeys that allow travelers to connect with local cultures, traditions, and communities in meaningful ways.
