Nautical Roots Travel grew out of a lifelong curiosity about people—their stories, traditions, and the places they call home. That curiosity began as a teenager during a summer in Puebla, Mexico, and deepened while earning my Anthropology degree at the University of Houston, where I studied how culture shapes language, food, art, landscapes, and everyday life.

Serving in the U.S. Navy and living in Japan further expanded my perspective, showing me the richness of diverse cultures and the transformative power of travel. These experiences inspire every journey I design: trips that go beyond sightseeing and foster authentic connections with people and places.
